Drawn from a number of Krishnamurti's talks and dialogues, Freedom From the Known explores many of the
central themes of his teaching.
The chapters include: Learning About Ourselves, Pursuit of Pleasure, Justification and Condemnation, and the
Dissipation of Energy.
Krishnamurti writes, "To understand and to be free of any problem we need a great deal of passionate and
sustained energy, not only physical and intellectual energy but an energy that is not dependent on any motive,
psychological stimulus or drug".
Best Audiobook voice
Mike Saunder from Chicago - 23 Dec 2008
This speaker's voice is absolutely astoundingly good- who is it? Sounds like a slightly Brit/New Zealand accent
but with a bit of North American in it. (Editor's note - the Publisher advised us the narrator was the author -
J Krishnamurti)
Narrator is NOT J KRISHNAMURTI
Senthil from Colombo - 04 Jan 2009
You would be better off reading the book!
Agree with Senthil
Richard from Tucson - 11 Jan 2009
The narrator is absolutely NOT Krishnamurti. Please read the book!
It doesn't matter
Srimal Wickramasinghe from Chichester - 19 Feb 2009
Although the narrator is not J.krishnamurti the philosophy which brings to us is absolutely goes with his
teachings.
The Teachings are important in themselves...
Andrew Alexander from Worthing - 25 Feb 2009
The narrator gives clear precise english of the spoken word, this was originally a classic book written by J.
krishnamurti, it was not from a recorded talk by K. It is therefore an excellently spoken recording from the
book. The core of these teachings are here, and very important for all to hear and understand the significance
of this in our lives.
